Microsoft Contest To Win Trip to Mom 2.0 Summit
I will be heading to the fantastic Mom 2.0 Summit this year to network with social media moms and as a speaker. For those that wanted to go and have not finalized plans or want to go, Microsoft is offering a chance to win a conference pass, plus travel and expenses to attend Mom 2.0 Summit in New Orleans, April 14-16. To read about the contest details, click over to the Windows Experience Blog post written by Lisa Worthington. I will be helping choose a winner and I know it will be a hard decision! Contestants will be sharing their how-to's on any feature in Windows 7 or Windows Live.
I have a Windows 7 PC so I am always looking for information on Windows 7 and Windows Live features. Most recently I have been looking into different options for photo management, so I downloaded (free) Windows Live Essentials and am giving it a test drive. Here are some of the things I learned about Windows Live Essentials Photo Management features:
1. Organize Photos: Windows Live Photo Gallery 2011 automatically displays photos from your hard drive organized by date. You can use the facial recognition features to tag family members for future searching and sorting by person.
2. Edit Photos: Along with general photo editing, Windows Live Photo Gallery Photo Fuse feature can be used to combine the best facial expressions of family members into one picture.
3. Share Photos: Windows Photo Gallery features offers the ability to share photos to Flickr, Facebook, YouTube, and select users by email or to Windows Live groups.
4. Storing in the cloud: Windows Live SkyDrive offers 25GB of free online storage and the ability to control permissions to just yourself, friends, those invited by email or the public.
Disclosure: This is not a paid post.
I've got my entry in and fingers crossed. I read the speaker list for Mom 2.0 Summit and OMG - that is a great place to learn indeed!
