Web 2.0 App for Amateur Sports: TeamSnap

Screenschedule_4 TechCrunch posted on a Web 2.0 application that can be used to manage adult and youth sport teams called TeamSnap

We decided not to continue with Little League this year for my 8 year old, but I do remember from his last few years of participation how much work was put into the team organization. They used Microsoft Excel spreadsheets for the team roster and schedule. I put together another sheet on that spreadsheet to list who was responsible for snacks. Group emails were manually set up and there were no online areas for group discussions.

TeamSnap looks interesting because it is set up with all the tools needed to manage a amateur team:
