TechMama goes HotMama on MommytoMommyTV

At the Sony Mom Blogger event I had to opportunity for a behind the scenes glimpse of professional movie magic and (on a smaller but equally important scale) how to create my own photo and video magic - at a demo of the Sony digital products.

I was especially excited about creating video for my site. But I realized I had one small problem: while I may know lots about tech, I still have lots to learn about video. I was lucky to have met Kimberley Blaine of TheGoToMom, who also gives vlogger seminars. I decided I need to get my video mojo on and what better person to learn from then Kimberley?

Kimberley Clayton Blaine just launched her newest online video venture: MommytoMommyTV - a new online show for moms. I was excited to host one of the shows. The show is called TechMama Goes HotMama.

So of course I prepared... Real Housewives reality TV style..

My segment was about meeting my mom comedian idol Heather McDonald (in LA) to have her sign a copy of her book that I purchased. I wanted to get myself Hollywood ready to meet her, so of course I got a spray on tan and hair extensions. Really.

Watch my segment to see my full makeover details.. Did I really get to meet the fabulous Heather McDonald? Did I also meet any other fabulous comedians? Was I able to walk in the super sized high heeled shoes I bought for the video? Did I have an orange glow from my spray on tan? Did anyone pull my hair extensions?

Press Release:

The Internet is full of places where parents can go to find advice and ideas, but with so much information out there, it can be hard for mom’s to find once place that covers the hot topics that they actually want to hear about. Well, mom’s, the wait is over: Kimberley Clayton Blaine, a popular mommy video-blogger and America’s favorite Go-To Mom (and founder of www.TheGoToMom.TV), announced today a new series of online programming for moms --MOMMYtoMOMMY.TV—a unique online program designed exclusively for mommies.

Twice per month, Blaine (who produces and hosts the show) will team up with a different momblogger, mompreneur or celebrity guest to deliver info-tainment on the featured topic. Everything juggling entrepreneurship and motherhood, or dealing with relationships, fertility issues, and body image—no topic will be left uncovered.

“In doing my parenting series as The Go-To Mom, what I’ve found is that even though we are moms--and that’s a big part of who we are-- we’re still women with a unique set of interests andconcerns,” explains Blaine.   “This idea was born out of the fact that moms are social and they want to connect with other mothers,” she continues. “And MOMMYtoMOMMY.TV is a place for mothers to do just that--to connect, to share videos, and to be inspired by one another.”

What’s more? Blaine has teamed up with Sony to inform moms of the latest and greatest technology so that they won’t miss one minute of those precious family moments. With webisodes featuring great innovative new products like Sony® α (alpha) cameras, Bloggie HD MP4 cameras, Cyber-shot® cameras and Handycam® camcorders.
